Life and Death of King Tut
As everyone knows King Tutankamun was the youngest pharaoh.King Tut became pharaoh at the age of nine.King Tut's death is a big mystery because no one knew how he died.People say that he was assasinated because he has a big lump in the back of his head.Although he was the youngest pharaoh,King Tut only served ten years as pharaoh.You should also know that King Tut was not loved by everybody,he had alot of enemies.
Archaeologists believe that King Tut's parents were,his father Akhentanen and mother Nefertiti.King Tut had six sisters.He married his half sister Ankhesenpaaten.When they married each other, the couple changed the -aten to -amun.They say that's a Egyptian religion.It is said that King Tut had two children,both girls.Their mummies were found in King Tut's tomb.They both died as babies.King Tut's full name is Tutankamun Hekaiunushema.
A explorer named Howard Carter discovered King Tut's tomb in the Valley of Kings in Egypt.Carter discovered alot of treasure,including the golden mask.King Tut's tomb was the most complete ancient Egyptian tomb ever found.Howard Carter's partner in the exibition was Lord Carnarvon.Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter were searching for King Tut's tomb for five years.Lord Carnarvon was losing hope,but Howard Carter paid his workers and Lord Carnarvon for one more year.And the next year they found King Tut.
After King Tut's tomb was discovered,he layed a curse on the people who discovered his tomb.Lord Carnarvon had been bitten by a mosquito.He later slashed it while shaving.That resulted in a infected blood poisening,and died.Howard Carter died a few years later by lymphoma at the age of 64.Lord Carnarvon's son reported that in the back of his house in England,his favorite dog howled and dropped dead.Carter's personal secretary's father killed himself by jumping of a building saying''I can't stand anymore horrors and hardly see what good I am going to do here,so I make my exit.''
